ACBS 2010: An Interview with Robyn Walser, PhD

At the recent World Conference for the Association for Contextual Behavioral Science in Reno, NV, I had the opportunity to sit down with and interview some leading researchers in the application of mindfulness and acceptance-based processes in psychotherapy treatment.

Robyn Walser, PhD, is the associate director for dissemination of training at the National Center for PTSD at the Veterans Affairs Palo Alto Health Care System. She is a recognized expert in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and has authored Acceptance and Commitment Therapy for the Treatment of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, The Mindful Couple, and Learning ACT.

We conducted this interview at the conference center on the last day of the conference. I tried to find a quiet hallway but wasn't entirely successful! There's some background noise such as voices and doors slamming as people made their way to various workshops. Caveats about the sound quality aside, it was the last interview and great way to end the conference. I hope you enjoy the interview, too [please click on the link to access].
